Privacy Notice

This notice describes what Hawaii Released Inmates receives when you use the site, how that information supports site operations, and when it may pass to service providers or authorities. It also explains the limits of security and your choices. By continuing to use the site, you accept these practices. Government services reached through our links, including DCR, Hawaiʻi SAVIN, HPA, eCourt Kōkua, BOP, and ICE, apply their own privacy and retention rules to the data submitted there.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search

A name, location, or other term typed into a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Hawaii Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern the query after submission. Avoid entering sensitive identifiers unless the selected service clearly asks for them and you have reviewed its policy.

Messages Sent to Us

If you email us or use a contact form, we retain the message and reply details as needed to answer. We do not share a private message outside our organization unless service delivery requires it or law compels disclosure. A message to this site does not reach DCR, HPA, a court, police, BOP, or ICE and cannot alter a government record.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Like most websites, our systems and service providers can receive basic connection and activity data when a page loads. That information may include:

Advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across sites and select targeted ads. That tracking occurs within their systems and is governed by their policies, not by a promise from Hawaii Released Inmates.

Subject to applicable law and verification, you may ask what personal data this private site holds about you, request correction of an error, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. These choices apply only to information controlled by Hawaii Released Inmates. Requests for a Hawaii government record or correction follow the separate provisions of the Uniform Information Practices Act, HRS chapter 92F, and must go to the agency that maintains the record.

We may revise this privacy notice as site practices, services, or legal requirements change. The updated text takes effect when posted here with a new effective date.
